- I've been using this motherboard in a new computer w/ i5-750 and ATI 5750 that I built. I haven't had any stability issues (haven't delved into overclocking) and it worked automagically with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.10. There's plenty of room for expansion and the price is right. I don't have any USB3 peripherals so couldn't try it out (it's supported in Linux). If I was building another machine I wouldn't think twice about using this board again.
- I bought this motherboard, along with a Core i5-750 and 4GB DDR3 RAM, to replace a computer that was physically damaged in my home. Windows 7 automatically detected & installed all of the drivers, except for the USB3 drivers which came on a CD. The PC runs very fast, and actually runs the fans in my case much lower (quieter) than my pre-existing Core 2 Duo E6600 + Asus P5B components. USB 3 and the higher speed SATA will be nice for "future-proofing" my computer, and there are tons of regular ports to spare. I needed a new motherboard, processor, and RAM overnight and Amazon delivered just what I needed. Even though I was in a pinch and needed a motherboard ASAP, this has turned out to be a purchase that I would gladly repeat even if I had more time.
- This is my third time upgrading my system using a Gigabyte board, and it's the third board I've been extremely pleased with. My i7 CPU came with an Intel Extreme board, and I instantly started having sleep/wake issues after installation. With this board, everything is blazing fast and performs without issue. Also, the "Smart 6" software makes it incredibly easy to overclock the CPU, and the fast boot is awesome. Gigabyte is the best mobo manufacturer out there. Highly recommended.
